![]() Who We Are
We are committed to work to promote standards in our industry. For example, Mindcraft's President, Bruce Weiner, was a member of the Standard Performance Evaluation Corporation (SPEC) Board of Directors from 1998 to 2001 and participated in the development of the SPECweb99 benchmark. In addition, our employees participate in standards groups such as POSIX. Mindcraft develops state-of-the-art testing tools and uses them to help its clients in capacity planning, benchmarking, product evaluations, product acquisitions, and application performance and quality testing. Mindcraft has grown to become the largest Accredited POSIX Testing Laboratory in the world. From May 1, 1991 through September 30, 1998 Mindcraft was accredited as a POSIX Testing Laboratory by the National Voluntary Laboratory Program (NVLAP), part of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). During that time, Mindcraft did more POSIX FIPS certifications than all other POSIX labs combined. As part of our accreditation, NVLAP audited our rigorous quality system to be sure that it meets international standards. Our quality system is the cornerstone of all of the work we do. NIST stopped its POSIX FIPS certification program on December 31, 1997. That program was picked up by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). On November 7, 1997 the IEEE announced that they recognized Mindcraft as an Accredited POSIX Testing Laboratory. We still are IEEE accredited and are still certifying systems for POSIX FIPS conformance.
